Privacy Policy

Summary

PDFOnCall is built privacy-first. Our PDF tools (merge, split, compress, convert, OCR, sign, watermark, rotate, page numbers, protect, unlock, photo-to-PDF, etc.) run entirely in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers for these tools.

Exception: AI Chat

Our optional AI Chat feature is different. When you use AI Chat, the text of your messages (and any PDF text you attach) is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) so it can generate a reply. We store your chat history in your account so you can revisit conversations. If you do not want any file content leaving your device, do not use AI Chat.

Account data

When you create an account we store your email address, an encrypted password hash, and your plan status (free / day pass / pro). We use this to authenticate you, count daily usage, and enforce plan limits.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe stores billing details under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Analytics

We log basic visit data (page URL, referrer, browser, approximate location from IP, time on page) to understand how the site is used. IP addresses are not stored raw; only the derived country/region/city are kept.

Emails

We send transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, receipts, replies to your support requests) via Resend. We do not sell your email address or send marketing without your consent.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to track daily free-usage counts and remember your session. We do not use third-party ad-tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account and any stored data by emailing customerservice@pdfoncall.com. We aim to respond within 7 days.
